Biography[]
Little is known about Killabyte, except that he was captured by the Guardians and slated for deletion. While Dixon Green and her junior partner Bob were preparing his execution, Killabyte began to upgrade and broke free of his restraints. He knocked Bob unconscious and was tackled and shot through the head by Dixon, but shook her off and stabbed her through the torso with his brand new claws. Before he could finish Bob off, however, he was caught up in the (un)timely appearance of Welman Matrix's gateway command, just as he fully upgraded into Gigabyte, and was inadvertently brought to Mainframe.[1]
Non-Canon[]
The manual for ReBoot: Countdown to Chaos refers briefly to "Kilobyte, Megabyte's father." This idea was devised independently from the viruses' canonical origins, according to Gavin Blair.
Computer References[]
"Killabyte" is pronounced the same as "kilobyte", 1024 bytes and one prefix lower than "megabyte".
